Charges Filed Against Rex James Clark in Gun Pointing Incident

According to public records, James Rex Clark is currently out on bond and is charged with Feloniously Pointing Firearm. There is also a protective order against him by his neighbor and the one mentioned in the article, Clifford Lowery.

In the March 14, 2008 edition of the Seminole Producer, an article described an incident in which James Rex Clark (Former adoptive father and uncle of missing Colton Levi Clark) is being investigated for allegations of pointing a gun and shooting it as his neighbors, Doretha and Clifford Lowery by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Department.
See previous article from the Seminole Producer in which Clifford Lowery wrote into the Point of View column, describing an incident that happened about a month before Colton Clark disappeared. This is the same incident as described in the point of view article.

I have never heard anyone around here mention seeing Colton before his death. I feel so badly for the Lowery family…they have went through so much with the guilt over Colton and now Rex harassing them. I am glad they received a protection order but it took him writing a letter to the editor of the newspaper to get things in motion. I also hope this incident can help build a case into solving Colt’s disappearance.
It’s been two years ago this month and I think about him all the time. God Bless him and Austin.
